Analysis of a Narrative Dance MV

I chose the Taylor Swift music video for the song 'Delicate' as it involves her dancing as well as a story line. 

Universal Music Group Revenue

I did some research into some of UMG's successful artists and dance artists under the company, as well as the artists net worth and UMG's revenue compared to Sony and Warner Music. 

Deconstruction of the Brief

This is my deconstruction of the Music Video brief:

I included making notes on things I will need to research and things I need to focus on are highlighted.

Some of the steps that I need to make sure to do to meet the brief are:

- Researching the genre of dance music

- Researching the company Universal Music Group

- Research the different genres of dance 

- Plan what/when/where to film

- Hire actresses and a dancer 

Brief History of Universal Music Group

As part of my research I decided to look into the history and origins of Universal Music Pictures. 

Introduction

My name is Paula Benyon and this is my blog for my NEA OCR Media Studies coursework. After looking through all the briefs I have chosen to do the music video. I have chosen this brief as I would like to go into the post production of film as a future career, my main interest being in editing. 

I am hoping to develop my editing, filming and directing skills through doing this coursework.
